Dear Friends & Colleagues,
as conference organiser of FICCS 2026 (Florence International Conference on Coccyx Surgery) I would like to invite you to attend this first Coccyx conference by surgeons for surgeons.
Social media and AI are allowing us to reflect on how badly surgeons manage patients with coccydynia.
The medical profession has yet to promote surgical research, education and patient management of this speciality. In the vacuum of good medical practice in medical an surgical management of coccydynia we have paramedical non-evidence based treatments being provided without diagnosis causing distress and harm to patients.
This conference will begin to address this imbalance, allow surgeons to share, teach, promote best practice, collaborate internationally, exchange knowledge, disseminate research findings and plan the future of this speciality addressing coccydynia.
